According to an Edutopia article, "successful technology integration is achieved when the use of technology is routine and transparent, accessible and readily available for the task at hand, and supports the curricular goals, and helping the students to effectively reach their goals." This type of integration is evident in the classroom of PCIS math teacher, Kenneth Barnes. On his website, Mr. Barnes makes available daily math lessons complete with notes. He does this with a combination of available technology: the Digital Ace app, Smart Notebook software, and Weebly website creation tool. But when Mr. Barnes talks about the resources he's made available for students, he barely mentions the technology; it's all about helping "his kids." That makes Mr. Barnes an Instructional Technology Superstar! | Mr. Barnes' students benefit from his effective use of technology. |
